Itinerary Surabaya Bromo Ijen Waterfall Tour 5 Days 4 Nights
DAY 01 : SURABAYA – IJEN HOTEL
- Bromo Ijen Tour Team will pick you up at Surabaya and transfer you to the hotel or homestay near Kawah Ijen for about 7-8 hours away.
DAY 02: IJEN BLUE FIRE TOUR – SUKAMADE
- At 00:30 Am Midnight we will drive to Patuding (Ijen parking) for about 1 hour away.
- At 02:00 Upon on arrival at Ijen parking area or Paltuding, Start hike to Ijen rim for 1.5 hours walk wacth Blue Fire, Sunrise and visit instagramable photo spots.
- At 05.00 AM, we will get to the summit ijen sunrise viewpoint. Enjoy all stunning views of sunrise and Kawah Ijen green lake.
- At 06.50 AM, Back to paltuding parking base camp, drive to accommodation for have breakfast, take shower & prepare to check out
- At 09.30 AM, Check out hotel then we will continue going to Sukamade Turtle Beach
Sukamade Turtle Beach Ijen Banyuwangi: Sukamade beach is about 97 km to southwest of Banyuwangi East Java. It is natural and quiet, beautiful place. Dutch discovered it in 1927.
The 1200 hectare estate is an active plantation that produces rubber, coffee and cacao. Sukamade is the east Java Natural Resource Conservation which is in charge of the turtle’s perpetuation. A night adventure tour to Sukamade is an unforgettable trip.
You will be guided by a natural resource to find sea turtles come to a shore to lay eggs. You can see a female turtle lays more than one hundred eggs on the sandy beach. The female turtles usually start landing at 7:30 PM and return to the sea at 12:00PM.
How to get to Sukamade Turtle Beach Banyuwangi: We will travel by 4WD jeep (4WD vehicle) to reach this point & the trail to Sukamade is worth for travelers who want to get the real East Java adventure trip.
It is one of best Java adventure trail for exploring southern coast of Banyuwangi. crossing the rivers, exploring the rural landscapes & passing rainforest.

- You might experience real adventure crossing National Park with 4WD jeep as the condition is very basic and it’s still a pure rural area and surrounded by tropical nature’s landscape.
- Upon Arrival at Sukamade Guest House, check in and have dinner and rest for the upcoming program.
- At 08.00 PM after dinner, go to Sukamade beach by walk for 10 minutes. well guided by National Park’s Official Ranger to observe and witness one of the rarest Turtle laying their eggs on the shore. After activity, back to Guest House, rest and stay overnight.
- DAY 03: SUKAMADE – TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL HOMESTAY
- 06.00 AM After breakfast we will take you spend the morning to explore surroundings release baby turtle to the ocean accommpanied by tour guide.
- Afterward leaving this area at 08.00, proceed transfer to transfer directly drive to Tumpak Sewu . Upon arrival, check in at Gajah Mada Hotel, rest and free leisure until next program. It takes approximately 7-8 hours drive incuding stop to have lunch on local restaurant.
DAY 04: TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL TOUR – HOTEL BROMO
- The fourth day of the trip, we will be starting the trip at 6 am, we will visit Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.
- The trip will be starting on Panorama point where you can sea the whole view of this waterfall with 180 angle of view.
- The best time to visit in before 7 am where the weather is good, not too sunny and you will able to see the highest volcano in Java Island as a background, that is Semeru Volcano.
- From the top of the panorama point, we will start to walk down into the bottom of the waterfall which needs about 30-45 minutes.
- The path is completely slippery and we must pass a small waterfall as well to go down, so make sure hold the rope that the local people prepare, use the proper shoes and listen our guide for your safety.
- Upon your arrival at the bottom of the waterfall, you will be amazed to see how big this waterfall.
- And our guide will take you to the best spot for taking photo. You can also take a bath or short swimming at the special spot.
- After enjoying the whole experience in Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, we will go back up to our homestay for cleaning up and ready to drive to Hotel near Bromo.
- We will drive about 5-6 hours to hotel which is closer to Mt Bromo Volcano.
DAY 05: MOUNT BROMO TOUR – SURABAYA
- At 03:00 AM, 4WD jeep will take you to the Pananjakan sunrise veiwpoint Bromo 45 minutes drive then wait for sunrise.
- At 05.00 AM, Enjoy stunning Mount Bromo sunrise tour
- At 06.30 AM, Back to your 4WD Jeep, and continue to the Bromo crater by stop at Sea of Sand (Jeep parking lot).
- At 07.00 AM, Start climb to the summit of Bromo for 45 minutes.
- At 08.00 AM, Arrive on the Bromo Crater rim, enjoy the stunning Bromo crater views until satisfied, and continue to Savannah Tour and Whispering Sand Tour for 10 minutes driving by Jeep. Comeback to your Hotel to have breakfast, take Shower & prepare check out of the Hotel
